CT has a strict dispatch procedure and has protocols for each type of freight movement. After the load is assigned to CT the dispatch process begins. When assigning a driver and equipment CT uses the 4-100 rule: CT only assigns drivers that are empty 4 hours prior to the scheduled pick time, are within 100 miles of the pick location and have adequate hours to run the load. This ensures ample lead time for a driver to arrive in a timely manner or to adjust capacity requirements.

Communication: CT drivers have the latest in cab communication technology as well as cell phones. At every moment CT knows where the equipment is located, how fast it is travelling, and the calculated arrival time. CT can geofence one hour from arrival to automatically alert the receiver. All CT equipment has the newest technology that allows the CT dispatcher to adjust the temperature inside the trailer if the driver is away from the equipment or on sleep break. All loads are constantly tracked by GPS and the shipper always has the ability to go online to see where the load is located.
